Outlook Express Reinvented

Back in the day when I had control of my Hotmail inbox, I used a nifty email client program that was attached to Windows called Outlook Express. It allowed me to check (offline & archive) my mail, tune into the groovy newsgroups, and update my contacts with ease. After the Vista upgrade, I lost my friend. :-(

Now, I have discovered Windows Live Mail, my long lost friend has been replaced with a lean mean machine! I am currently checking it out so I really cannot share my personal pros and cons of this new product. However, I am sure that I will not be disappointed. Thanks Micro$wizzle!

My Credit Report & Going Green…

Today I worked on getting my free credit reports from annualcreditreport.com. I usually print hard copies of my documents and place them in a folder, and place the folder in my file cabinet to collect dust. This year, I am using the Microsoft XPS document writer to save my soft printouts and “save the trees”.

This process is very similar to the Adobe PDF printer function in Adobe Acrobat. (I believe that the .xps file format can be converted to .pdf online!

Now I just have to figure where place them for future QUICK retrieval, and how secure my electric document(s) to maintain privacy.
