WordPress = Web Publishing

I had the marvelous opportunity to attend Charlotte WordCamp held at the Charlotte Observer.

Here are the main points that I picked up from all the presentations….

1. Keep it simple (theme, layout, plug-ins, & posts)

2. Be patient for WP version 2.7 – It rocks!

3. Blog until it hurts

4. Twitter is not evil

5. Allow others to input as guests or the usual via comments

There was more that was received, but if you wish to hear for your self, audio clips can be found at my server here. Peace!

  1. Hi, Malik. We may have talked briefly at Saturday’s WordCamp at the Observer. How’d you like the event? I thought it was a great way to meet and network with fellow bloggers. Check out my slightly skewed take on the day at davisw.wordpress.com if you like. — Davis

    Thanks for stopping by my blog! I loved the Wordcamp event! I looked further to see if I could attend the Wordcamp-ED event in DC, but registration is closed due to the overwhelming number of registrants.

    I look forward to the next on in Charlotte and contemplate in attending the next one in Raleigh. I will check out your blog as well…
